Ash Fontana is managing partner of Zetta Venture Partners, the first venture capital fund focused solely on artificial intelligence, where he has led investments in companies including Kaggle, Tractable and Clearbit. He began his career at Macquarie Capital before joining AngelList, where he launched its online fundraising platform, now used to manage more than $15 billion in startup investment. Fontana is the author of The AI-First Company, published by Penguin Random House in 2021, a practical guide to applying AI inside real businesses. On First Cheque, he discussed the value of being a startup's first investor.
